Yamamotoyama will release the premium green tea, Uji Tenkaichi, crafted with traditional Uji methods, on December 1, 2024.

Uji Tenkaichi is made using only the finest, tender new buds grown in the mountain valleys of southern Kyoto Prefecture. These buds, harvested in the spring of 2024, undergo light steaming and are aged until autumn, a process that mellows the fresh, green notes of new tea, resulting in a refined taste with gentle umami.

The result is a premium tea with a transparent yellow-green hue, a deep forest-green aroma reminiscent of lush coniferous woods, and a rich, savory flavor. Brew with water cooled to 70-80°C to best appreciate its distinctive qualities.
