”　From detergents and cosmetics to chocolates and cup noodles, palm oil, which grows only in tropical regions, is used in a variety of everyday items. Each year, more than 75 million tons of palm oil are consumed.

Borneo Island, the third largest island in the world and a treasure trove of biodiversity, is seeing its forests replaced by palm oil plantations for human consumption. Wildlife is losing its habitat and food, and they may soon vanish from the planet.

Borneo Conservation Trust Japan, whose director is Asahiyama Zoo's head zookeeper Bando, is engaged in various activities to protect these animals.

Felissimo has established the "Asahiyama Zoo and Borneo Forest Appreciation Fund" as a simple way for anyone to contribute.
