ASICS x Ghana Launches Unisex Sneakers Inspired by Chocolate

ASICS has announced the release of their new unisex sneakers inspired by Lotte's Ghana Chocolate. The GEL-1130 for adults and GEL-1130 PS for kids will be available starting October 10, 2024, at ASICS Harajuku Flagship Store and other select locations.

Conceptualized around the theme of "The Happiness of Eating and the Happiness of Wearing"

The primary color of the sneakers is a warm milk chocolate brown accented with red and gold to evoke the iconic Ghana Chocolate bar. The ASICS logos on the sides and tongue are coated with clear print to mimic the shiny surface of chocolate, while the insole features a hidden graphic of Ghana Chocolate that becomes visible when you take off the shoes.

In an eco-conscious twist, these sneakers use cacao husk, a byproduct from chocolate production, as part of the dye and materials for the upper fabric and the rubber soles. The synthetic leather sections of the upper also include cacao husk materials, reflecting a commitment to sustainability.
